Weather permitting, the week of March 8, 2017, the Warminster Water Authority will begin flushing the water distribution system between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. During flushing in your area, please use as little water as possible since flushing may cause discoloration, rust and/or low water pressure.
You may call 215-675-3301 to access current information about the schedule of flushing. Please wait to be prompted before selecting menu option number 4, then number 1 for up-to-date flushing locations. We update this information each morning at 9 a.m. You may press 0 for the operator if you wish to speak with someone directly. Our web site www.warminsterauthority.com also will have flushing information.
Flushing the entire system takes approximately 6 weeks to complete. Factors beyond our control, such as weather and emergencies, make it difficult to predict exact dates that flushing will occur in your area. However, the sections stay in the same rotation. This means if your section is flushed first, it will always be flushed first.
Flushing is necessary to maintain the water distribution system and preserve water quality. We know this may be inconvenient at times, but your patience and understanding during this period is greatly appreciated.
If you have any questions or concerns, please call our office at 215-675-3301.
