Warminster Township and Warminster Township Free Library awarded 2016 Keystone grant for library improvements
March 10, 2017
Warminster, PA —The Department of Education has notified Warminster Township of the successful award of a $101,500 grant from the 2016 Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund with a matching contribution pledged by the Township. The grant will be used towards replacing the original forty-year old HVAC in the Warminster Township Library with a new energy-efficient system. The new system will replace the currently declining unit and help reduce the energy costs and carbon footprint of the Library facility. Work will be completed in the next 18 months and may commence as early as this summer.
This successful grant award was made possible through the team at the Warminster Township Library and with the support of the Bucks County Free Libraries and Representative Bernie O’Neill.
According to Township Manager, Gregg Schuster, “We are excited to be replacing our current HVAC system. The award of this Keystone grant goes a long way towards improving the overall Library experience and services provided to Warminster residents and patrons.”
