The Board of Supervisors will review a request made by Envision Land Use to rezone the Hart School Property located on Little Lane in Warminster from “G” Government to “R2” Residential.
Envision Land Use has entered into an agreement to purchase the land from Centennial School District, conditioned upon approval of a Zoning Map amendment to “R2” Residential.
In order to change the zoning of any property located in the Township, the Board of Supervisors must first hold a “public hearing” on the matter. The purpose of a “public hearing” is to hear from all those who are interested in the matter before the Board takes any official action to change zoning.
On December 4, 2014, the Board will review Envision’s request and may consider whether or not they will hold a public hearing on the matter. It is important to note that at the meeting on December 4th, the Board is not voting on rezoning the property, but simply reviewing whether the request to rezone the property should be further reviewed and if a public hearing on the matter will be held.
If the Board decides that a hearing will be held, they will direct the Manager to advertise the hearing in a newspaper and also to send out notices to those properties within a certain radius of the property. The December 4th Board of Supervisors meeting will start at 7:00 pm and will be held at the Administration Building located at 401 Gibson Ave. Warminster, PA 18974.
