Warminster Community Park to receive 300 trees

To celebrate the kick-off of the “Plant One Million” trees initiative sponsored by Pennvest, Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission and the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, a ceremonial tree was planted by the pavilion at Warminster Community Park.  The Parks and Recreation Department is proud to be one of the five communities awarded this tree grant which includes the trees, installation and a 2-year maintenance period as part of our program to reforest Warminster Community Park.  Watch for these trees to be planted in the early fall of 2012.

Summer Camp Registration

Trip registration will be held on May 19 (you must have signed up prior to showing up).

  • Camp Hours:
    Mon-Fri, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Camp Dates:
    Four (4) week sessions: A - June 25-July 20 (no camp 7/4 - schools closed) OR B - July 16-August 10
    Seven (7) week session: June 25-August 10
  • Camp Fees:
    Resident 4 wks ($425/child), Non-Resident 4 wks ($535/child)
    Resident 7 wks ($540/child) Non-Resident 7 wks ($730/child)

Turnpike Road Work

Roadway Resurfacing on Pa. Turnpike’s Interstate 276 begins this Month Nighttime paving, reduced speeds may cause delays between Exits 343-351 until 2013.

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission advises motorists using Interstate 276 between Willow Grove (Exit #343) and Delaware Valley (Exit #358) to be prepared for overnight lane closures with reduced speeds of 40 miles per hour starting later this month. Overnight repaving work will be performed weeknights during off-peak hours until the project is completed in spring 2013. To read more, please click here.
