Penn Community Bank Helps Kids Shed Light on the Eclipse

On August 1, Penn Community Bank and the Warminster Parks & Recreation Department will be hosting the children from the Warminster YMCA camp programs at the Centennial School District Planetarium. In preparation for the total solar eclipse on Monday, August 21st, this educational and informative program will explain, and teach children how to safely view, one of nature’s most awe-inspiring sights – a total solar eclipse where the moon passes between the sun and Earth and completely covers the sun for a short period. The last time a total solar eclipse was seen in the United States was in 1979, so none of these children have ever seen such a phenomenon.
