PENNDOT – COUNTY LINE ROAD RESURFACING PROJECT

A representative of Warminster Township attended the Pre-Construction Meeting at PennDOT District 6-0 Engineering Office on August 18th, 2014 for the Street Road Resurfacing Project (SR 132 BC2).

J.D. Eckmen, Inc. was awarded the contract for $5,071,539.55 on July 30, 2014. The contract was executed August 12th, 2014 and the Notice to Proceed date is August 18th with a start of physical construction planned to begin on Tuesday, September 2, 2014.

The scope of the project is for complete resurfacing (full width) of Street Road starting at Rt. 611 (Easton Road), through Warminster. Approximately 1.5″ of the top surface of asphalt will be milled out and repaved. Associated ADA curb ramps are also to be replaced to meet current design standards. The paving operations are to be complete by November 15th, 2014.

Due to the type of work and its potential impact to traffic, it is anticipated that most of the work will be completed as night work from 8pm to 6am. Preparation activities and the ADA curb ramp (concrete work) will be performed during the day between the hours of 9:30am – 3:30pm.
