PENNDOT-COUNTY LINE ROAD RESURFACING PROJECT

Update: 08/06/14

UPDATE: County Line Road Resurfacing Project to begin tonight, Wednesday, August 6th between 7:00 pm and 5:00 am.

The Warminster Township Director of Engineering and Operations attended a pre-construction meeting at the PennDOT District 6-0 Engineering Office on July 24, 2014 for the County Line Road Resurfacing Project.

J.D. Morrissey was awarded the contract for $4,395,135.80 on July 2, 2014. The anticipated notice to proceed date is August 12, 2014 with a start of physical construction about two weeks later (weather permitting).

The scope of the project is for complete resurfacing (full width) of County Line Road starting at Route 611, through Warminster. Approximately 1.5 inches of the top surface of asphalt are being milled and repaved. Associated ADA curb ramps are also to be replaced to meet current design standards. The paving between Route 611 and Route 263 is scheduled for completion by October 29, 2014. The remainder of the project has a deadline of August 28, 2014.

Due to the type of work and its potential impact to traffic, it is anticipated that most of the work will be completed at night between 7:00 pm and 5:00 am. Preparation activities and the ADA curb ramp will be performed during the day.
