Police Press Release – 06/13/16

On the date of June 12, 2016 at about 12:40am, while on patrol a Warminster Township Police Officer spotted a suspicious vehicle in the area of Norwood Road and Nemoral Street. The Officer observed that the vehicle running with lights off an occupied by two people. Further investigation revealed that the occupants of the vehicle, identified as CHRISTOPHER MICHAEL WEST (26 yoa) of Glouster New Jersey and a 13 year old child whom he was not related to. After further investigation Warminster Detectives determined that WEST had met this 13 year old through an internet site a few months prior and developed a sexual relationship with this child and had engaged in sexual activity on at least two occasions. Detectives also discovered that WEST had numerous sexually explicit text conversations with this 13 year old and also shared sexually explicit photographs and videos.

WEST was charged with Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse, Unlawful Contact with a Minor, Indecent Assault, Criminal Use of Communication Facilities and Sexual Abuse of Children. WEST was arraigned before the Honorable Michael W. Petrucci of Newtown and was remanded to the Bucks County Correctional facility in lieu of $500,000 bail. For full details, PD Press West 061316
