The Warminster Township Police have identified the person responsible for the numerous incidents of tire slashing that occurred along Street Road including Lafferty Chevrolet on June 18, 2016. After reviewing surveillance videos and conducting several interviews, Warminster Police Detectives have filed charges against COLLIN FRANCIS JONES (19 yoa) of the 800 block of Maple Drive Southampton. The charges include Criminal Mischief, a felony of the third degree, Possession of an Instrument of Crime, misdemeanor of the first degree, Disorderly Conduct, a misdemeanor of the third degree and Criminal Trespass, a summary. The Warminster Police determined that tires were slashed on a total of 59 vehicles (27 vehicles at Lafferty’s Chevrolet) and damage to one building. The total damages were estimated to be approximately $37,000.00.
JONES is currently in custody and is being held in the Bucks County Correctional Facility in connection with a separate incident that occurred on June 28, 2016 at the Saxony Manner Apartments on York Road in Warminster Township. JONES was involved in a physical altercation with a juvenile male. During the course of this altercation, JONES produced two knives and stabbed the juvenile on his arm causing a large puncture wound. The juvenile was treated at the scene by Warminster Ambulance and was taken for medical treatment by the parents. JONES was charged with Aggravated Assault, a felony of the second degree, Terroristic Threats, a misdemeanor of the first degree, Possession of an Instrument of Crime, misdemeanor of the first degree, Simple Assault, a misdemeanor of the second degree and summary Harassment. JONES was remanded to BCCF in lieu of $25,000.00 bail for the assault charges and an additional complaint was filed with MDJ Daniel Finello relating to the criminal mischief.
