Warminster Township awarded DCNR grant for improvements to Warminster Community Park

Warminster, PA — This December, the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) notified Warminster Township of the successful award of a $500,000 grant from the Community Conservation Partnerships Program (C2P2). This grant is one of 261 projects awarded across Pennsylvania totaling more than $45 million. Warminster Township is the recipient of one of the largest grants awarded for a development project in the state.
Over the next three years, these funds will be used in conjunction with matching funds from the Bucks County Municipal Open Space program and other funding sources towards the rehabilitation and further development of Warminster Community Park. Work will include the construction of two ballfields, a soccer field, a spray park, a pavilion with comfort station, an access drive, a parking area, and expansion of the multiuse trail system. Stormwater management measures will be addressed as well including the installation of filtration and recirculation systems. Utilities, ADA access, landscaping, project signage and other related site improvements will also be undertaken. Work may commence as early as Fall 2017.
