Warminster, PA — The first Warminster Township Electric Vehicle Charging Station has been installed in Warminster Community Park. The station features an EV ChargePoint and two designated parking spaces, allowing two electric vehicles to be charged simultaneously. The parking spaces are located near the Parks and Recreation Office in the Warminster Community Park main parking lot. ChargePoint cards are available for distribution during office hours and the EV station is available during park hours for a fee.
This project was made possible by a grant from the PA DEP Driving PA Forward Funding Program and donations from Renk Electric and the Friends of Warminster Parks.
Township staff worked tirelessly to procure the grant and sponsorships necessary for this project. The Warminster Township Parks & Recreation and Public Works Departments also worked diligently to see this project through.
According to Township Manager, Gregg Schuster, “We are excited to open the first Warminster Township Electric Vehicle Charging Station and proud to be able to offer this environmentally conscious resource to the public.”
