Director of Public Works
Warminster Township, located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, (population 32,000) is seeking experienced candidates for the position of Public Works Director. The public works department consists of a 12 person crew who are responsible for maintaining the infrastructure of the Township, including 100+ miles of roads, nine Township buildings and facilities. The department is also responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of public works equipment, all Township vehicles, street lights and traffic control devices.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience managing Public Works projects and personnel, be well versed in PA liquid fuels reporting requirements, public bidding of construction projects, road maintenance, snow plowing and budgeting. Applicants are desired to have a minimum of 10 years experience in a managerial/supervisory capacity preferably as a Public Works Director or Construction Superintendent. GED or high school diploma is required; bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred; strong written and verbal communication skills. Salary commensurate with experience but expected to starting salary to be in the range of $90,000 – $105,000.
